Victorian Public Health

We have been researching the Victorian cholera epidemics and the resulting improvements in public health. Cross Ness Pumping Station is a local example of Victorian engineering, that had an impact on public health. It was designed by Joseph Bazalgette. During our computing lessons we have been researching him and the Cross Ness Pumping Station.

We also learnt about a man called Dr John Snow. Try playing this game at home to help him make the link between drinking water and cholera.
